David Mildrexler, Wallowology Ecologist, leads hike into the canyons of the Joseph Creek area
June 9th, 2018
Over thirty people filled the dining room of the RimRock Inn on a wet Saturday in June to hear David Mildrexler, PhD, introduce the ecosystems, wildlife and history of the 40,200-acre Joseph Creek Roadless Area in Wallowa County, including Davis and Swamp Creeks.
After his presentation, many of the dauntless attendees donned their Gore-Tex and fleece and hiked down into the rugged canyons with David, braving rain and wind for an unforgettable experience in this ancient landscape.
